LWC Golf 4th following opening day of Fall MSC Tournament Blue Raiders sit five strokes behind third-place Campbellsville (KY) By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College BARDSTOWN, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women’s golf ended day one of the Fall Mid-South Conference Tournament in fourth place on Monday with an opening-round 350. For the Blue Raiders, Cristina Jimenez tied for ninth with an 11-over par 83 (40-43) on the 5,812-yard course at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood. Shayna Cockrill sits in 20th place after shooting a 14-over par 86 (41-45) to begin the tournament. Amy Brown tied for 24th with an 18-over par 90 (45-45), and Kayla Cordeiro and Courtney Swindle had identical 19-over par 91s (46-45) to end the opening round in a three-way tie for 27th. Playing as an individual, Megan Kriz rounded Lindsey Wilson’s group of competitors with a 25-over par 97 (43-54) to tie for 43rd. In a nine-team field, the Blue Raiders wrapped up the first day in fourth. University of the Cumberlands (KY) holds the lead with a team score of 318, and is followed by Cumberland (TN) (333) and Campbellsville (345). Cumberlands teammates Bri-Ann Tokariwski and Rachel Pingleton tied for the top individual score with matching 6-over par 78s. Tokariwski shot a 38-40 while Pingleton had a 40-38.
