Lindsey Wilson Football climbs to No. 17 in latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll Blue Raiders sit atop the MSC East Division with a perfect 3-0 record Click on headline for complete story By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Two days after defeating then-ranked No. 25 Kentucky Christian on the road, the Lindsey Wilson football team comes in at No. 17 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday, 13 Oct 2014. The Blue Raiders received 128 total voting points from the panel of national raters. Lindsey Wilson moves up three spots from their previous No. 20 ranking after defeating the Knights of Kentucky Christian on Saturday, 11 Oct 2014, by a 31-7 mark. The game was scoreless until just over four minutes left in the third quarter when Caleb Keeton got the Blue Raiders on the board with a 33-yard field goal. Lindsey Wilson would score the next 21 points to take a 24-0 lead with 11 minutes to play in the game. The lead was too steep for the Knights to overcome as Lindsey Wilson improved to 5-2 on the season with a perfect 3-0 mark in the Mid-South Conference East Division with the win. Joining the Blue Raiders in the top 25 from the Mid-South is Faulkner (AL) at No. 7, Georgetown (KY) at No. 9, Cumberland (TN) at No. 11 and Campbellsville (KY) at No. 24. Morningside (Iowa) retains the top overall spot for the fourth-consecutive week with 340 points and 14 first-place votes.
