No. 9 Volleyball sweeps IU-Southeast 3-0 on Saturday Next: Blue Raider Volleyball hosts Cumberland, Tennessee 6pmCT on Tuesday, October, 14, 2014, at 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, Ky., 42728 By Tyler Scott News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson volleyball team swept Indiana University Southeast 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-20) Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2014, at Biggers Sports Center. After leading the first set 9-7, the Blue Raiders went on a 9-0 run extending their lead to 18-7. After a kill by IU Southeast's Brittany Pink, Yennifer Ramirez added three of Lindsey Wilson's final seven kills to win the set 25-8. In the second set, the two teams went back and forth with the Grenadiers trailing by as little as three at 18-15. Nadelina Nesheva then recorded a kill before two straight attacking errors by IU Southeast's Logan Flannagan and Michala Beasley. The Blue Raiders closed out the set on a 4-1 run with a service ace from Caitlyn Tino and kills from Daryana Luitikova, Ramirez and Catie Cline to win the set 25-16. The Grenadiers grabbed an early lead in the third set at 7-2 over the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson cut the deficit to one at 9-8 after a kill from Cline. The Blue Raiders grabbed their first lead at 12-11 when IU Southeast's Sara Schum was credited with an attacking error. After four lead changes the Blue Raiders secured the third set with a 25-20 win on the strength of a Sophia Riviere match-ending kill. Ramirez led the Blue Raiders with 13 kills and Liutikova tallied seven. Makenzie Montano totaled 17 assists. Both Tino and Montano recorded double-digit digs at 13 and 10, respectively. Lindsey Wilson accumulated an attacking percentage of .343, while IU Southeast managed to hit just .036. The .343 attacking percentage is the third straight time the Blue Raiders have hit over .300.
