He was a native of Adair County, KY and has many relatives in Adair, Russell, and Taylor Counties of Kentucky. He was the son of Olene Shepherd Grider and the late Joseph Wayne Grider. He leaves two direct living descendants.

Billy Joe Grider, 41, of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 of injuries sustained in auto accident.

Funeral service for Billy Joe Grider will be 10amCT, Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Richard Lehman officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tarter Cemetery.


Pallbearers: Jeremy Jones, Clint Smith, Ethan Pike, Dustin Bunch, Cliff Skaggs, and Mike Grider.

He was born January 13, 1973 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of Olene Shepherd Grider and the late Joseph Wayne Grider. He died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Jerrod Grider, Christian Grider, both of Columbia, KY

  • Mother: Olene Grider, Russell Springs, KY

  • Six sisters: Lisa Burton, Jo Ann (Gary) Smith, both of Columbia, KY; Priscilla (Scott) Jones, Doris Brockman, both of Russell Springs, KY; Teresa Grider, Samantha Grider, both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several neices and nephewss also survive
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, 367 N Main Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements.
