Billy Tupman, 79, Russell County, KY (1934-2014)

He was a member of a highly regarded family South Central Kentucky family. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late James Tyler and Margaret Caldwell Tupman. His wife, Carole Tupman, survives. He was an engineer at Duo-County Telephone and a member of Freedom Christian Church in Jamestown, KY.

Billy Tupman, 79, Hwy 55, Jamestown, KY, died Friday, October 3, 2014, at 9:25amET, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

A Memorial service will be held at Freedom Christian Church, 65 Freedom Church Road, Jamestown, KY, at 5pmCT, Sunday, October 5, 2014, with Bro. Wendell Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 1pm-5pmCT, at the church. Cremation will be honored.



Billy Tupman, 79, Russell County, KY (1934-2014)

He was born Saturday, December 8, 1934, in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son of he late James Tyler Tupman and the late Margaret Caldwell Tupman. He died Friday, October 3, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 79 years, nine months, and 26 days.

He was an engineer at Duo-County Telephone and a member of Freedom Christiaan Church in Jamestown, KY.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Tupman, Jamestown, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Tony (Kathy) Tupman, Jamestown, KY

  • One daughter: Tracy (Rusty) Miller of Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Donald Tupman, of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Ruby Barbee, Campbellsville, KY; and Ina Durham, Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Joni Tupman Campbell; one brother, J.T. Tupman; and two sisters, Jesse Shirley and Dorothy McClung

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
