Elizabeth Land Turpin, age 98, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday October 2, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 10amCT/11amET Monday October 6, 2014 at the First Christian Church, 323 Middleburg Road, Liberty, KY. Rev. Homer Hecht officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 8amCT/9amET, Monday October 6, 2014 at the First Christian Church.


Elizabeth Land Turpin, 98, Casey County, KY (1916-2014)

She was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on Tuesday, June 27, 1916 to the late William and Pearl Bell Hoskins. She died Thursday October 2, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 98 years, three months, and 5 days.

She was retired from Wesley Drug and a member of First Christian Church.

She was the widow of Eddie Land and Roy Turpin.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: William Allen and (Jane) Land of Louisville and Mike and (Bonnie) Land of Lexington, KY.

  • Grandchildren: Anne and Allen Land of Louisville, KY; and Beverly Crabtree of Lexington, KY

  • One brother: J.L. and (Evelyn) Hoskins of Hustonville, KY
She was also preceded in death by: Three brothers, Chester, Estil and Elmer Hoskins; and four sisters: Pauline Roy, Bessie Richards, Eula Hankla and Mildred Hoskins.
