LWC students' geography program gives direct to ACPC kids

COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College education students gave a group of Adair County schoolchildren a lesson in geography Thursday evening at Adair County Primary Center.

The students - who were members of Associate Professor of Education Melissa Saunier-Arnold’s "P-5 Social Studies Class"- held "Family Geography Night" to teach children about geography and encourage parents to work with their children.

The program was co-sponsored by the Adair County Public School Title I program, Family Resource Center and 21st Century Camp Casey afterschool program.

Lindsey Wilson College education student Samantha Hadley of Columbia teaches Camden Streeval, 7, of Columbia a geography lesson Thursday night, Sept 25, 2014, that explained why people settle in a particular region.
