Mr. Ronald Reed Neagle, Taylor Co., KY (1952-2014)

He was a member of a highly regarded South Central Kentucky Family. He was a native of Taylor County and a resident of the County at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Hailey Neagle and Rachel Cheatham. His wife of 37 years, Shirley Houk Walker Neagle survives. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Church in Taylor County. He was employed with T.G. KY in Lebanon, was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, and Scottish Rite in Campbellsville, KY.

Mr. Reed Neagle, age 62, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Green County, passed away Monday at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

The funeral services for Mr. Reed Neagle will be conducted at 10amCT, Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with burial to follow in the Coffey Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, October 1, 2014, and after 7amCT, Thursday, October 2, at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. There will be a Masonic Service conducted at 6pmCT at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home by the Greensburg Masonic Lodge # 54 F& AM. All Master Masons are to meet at the lodge at 5pmCT.



Pallbearers: Brian Mattingly, Tommy Cox, Mike Woodrum, Gary Wise, Bernie Sluder, Jerry Corbi, John Hancock, and David White.

He son of the late Hailey Neagle and Rachel Cheatham Neagle, was born on March 14, 1952 in Taylor County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 62 years, 6 months and 15 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Church in Taylor County. He was employed with T.G. KY in Lebanon, was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, and Scottish Rite in Campbellsville, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley Houk Walker Neagle of Campbellsville, KY, having united in marriage on October 9, 1976 and the following: Other survivors include his children: Jeffrey S. Neagle of Henderson, KY; Jennifer Boils and her husband Dale, Doug Neagle and his wife Mary Jo all of Campbellsville, KY; Jeff Walker and his wife Julie of Greensburg, KY; and Eddie Walker of Atlanta, Georgia
  • Six grandchildren: Zack Boils, Nick Boils, Jacob Boils all of Campbellsville, KY; Kendra Boils Arms of Burkesville, KY; Jake Walker and Raylen Walker both of Greensburg, KY

  • His mother-in-law: Ellen Houk of Greensburg, KY

  • a sister: Jane Breeding of Columbia, KY

  • a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Maxie and Martha Houk of Greensburg, KY

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  • Memorials can be made to the Gideon Bible fund of to the MS Society and can be made at the funeral home.
