COLUMBIA, KY (Holloway Natatorium, 399 Williams Street, Columbia, KY) - The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team finished in first place while the women's team placed second on the final day of the Lindsey Wilson College Fall Frenzy Invitational on Saturday, 27 Sep 2014.




The men's team finished in first place as it accumulated 1,091 total points, while the women's team claimed second with 704 total points.

In the women's 200-yard medley relay, Elena Nikolaeva, Courtney Fleeger, Laura Stephenson and Natalie Miller finished in 1:57.47 to take second. The relay team of Tori Caudill, Kelsey St. Charles, Susan Herrington and Kelsey Marshall clocked in at 2:07.14. Both times qualify for national "A" standards.

Fleeger finished the 400-yard IM in 5:00.61 for a national "B" cut, Stephenson completed the 100-yard butterfly in 59.23 for an "A" cut and Nikolaeva finished the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.18 for a "B" standard.

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, Fleeger, Marshall, Nikolaeva and Stephenson clocked in at 8:40.56 for another "A" cut.

Stephenson recorded two more "A" standards after posting a 19:02.23 in the 1,650-yard freestyle event and finished the 200-yard butterfly in 2:11.50. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Fleeger, Marshall, Nikolaeva and Stephenson finished in 3:57.99 for another "A" cut.

In the men's 200-yard medley relay, Iker Larzabal, Jonas Muller, Gage Setzer and Zach Patzer finished in 1:44.08. Additionally, Hayden Pedergraft, Jose Prado de Lima, Travis Durocher and Josh Lykins clocked in at 1:46.89. Sam Tate, Shelby Stevenson, Tolga Dogruyol and Luke Royal finished in 1:49.74. All three teams qualified for a national "A" standard.

Prado de Lima clocked in at 4:31.39 in the 400-yard IM, while Larzabal finished the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.02 and in the 100-yard breaststroke, Muller completed the event in 1:01.31. All three swimmers earned national "B" cuts in the events.

Prado de Lima, Muller, Setzer and Larzabal finished the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:28.14 for an "A" standard. In the 1,650-yard freestyle, Prado de Lima clocked in at 17:29.24 for another "B" cut.

Setzer set a program record with his 2:03.54 time in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing two seconds faster than the previous record while earning a "B" standard along the way. Patzer finished the 100-yard freestyle in 49.94 to add another "B" cut for Lindsey Wilson.

Larzabal, Lykins, Prado de Lima and Patzer teamed up to finish the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:19.05. Additionally, Muller, Setzer, Tate and Royal finished in 3:27.98 as both teams earned "A" cuts.

In all, the Blue Raider swim teams combined for 30 national "A" and "B" standards at the Fall Frenzy.
