He was a member of a highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family, the son of the late Coy and Lucy Branham Claywell. He leaves three direct living descendants. He was an employee of the Adair Recycling Center, where he had served as supervisor.

Donnie Claywell, 66, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 7:50 P.M. at Summit Manor Health & Rehab, Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating. Burial in Fudge Cemetery. 847 Independence Ridge Road, in Breeding, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, September 26, 2014, at the funeral home.



Casket Bearers - Adrian Claywell, Christopher Bunch, George Claywell, Lindell Claywell, Rollin Claywell and Jeff Claywell.

Donnie Claywell, 66, Adair Co., KY (1948-2014)

He was born Monday, June 14, 1948, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Coy & Lucy Branham Claywell. He died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 6 years, three months, and 18 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Claywell, and a sister, Sue Ann Claywell. He worked for the Adair County Recycling Center.

Survivors Include:
  • Son: Adrian (Shannon) Claywell of Columbia, KY

  • Daughter: Cecelia (Christopher) Bunch of Columbia, KY

  • Brothers: Ralph Claywell of Columbia, KY; Rhymon Claywell of Russell Springs, KY; George Claywell of Beebe, Arkansas; and Lindell Claywell of Lexington, KY
  • BR>
  • Granddaughter: Abby Claywell
