Wanda Miller, Casey County, KY (1930-2014)

She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Patnie "Pink" and Edith Campbell Allen. She leaves 27 direct living descendants. She worked as a waitress in food service for fifty years. She attended the Liberty First Baptist Church. Wanda loved getting her family together and in recent years, watching the cooking channel was one of her favorite pastimes.

Wanda F. Miller passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. She was 83.

Funeral services are at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, LIberty, KY, with Bro. Edward Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the funeral home.

Born October 9, 1930 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Patnie "Pink" and Edith Campbell Allen. She died Monday, September 22, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 13 days.

She worked as a waitress in food service for fifty years. She attended the Liberty First Baptist Church. Wanda loved getting her family together and in recent years, watching the cooking channel was one of her favorite pastimes.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four sons: Dale G. Buck of Wichita, Kansas; James " Ricky" Buck of Liberty, KY; Dwight Miller of Liberty, KY; and Mark Thomas Merryman of Wilmington, North Carolina

  • A daughter: Priscilla Ann Jindra of Bel Air, Maryland

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Ten great-grandchildren

  • A brother: J. C. Allen of Indiana

  • And a sister: Linda Reed of Liberty, KY
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Arvil, Elvern, Charles, and Bernard Allen. Send a condolence to the family of Wanda Miller
