Durham, Hagan, Navarro, and Hagan lead LWC Golfers

Lindsey Wilson Men’s Golf in ninth place after day one of Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational. Blue Raiders shot team-total 308 in the opening round.

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men’s golf team sits in ninth place following an opening-round 308 on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational, at Sea Island Golf Club’s Retreat Course, 100 Retreat Road, St. Simons Island, GA. Federico Navarro, Jordan Hagan, Alex Durham and Ryan Nowe each shot a 5-over par 77 to sit tied for 30th place. Chris Butler posted a 13-over par 85 for the Blue Raiders.


Amongst a 14-team field that featured defending NAIA National Champion Coastal Georgia and NCAA Division II member Eckerd (FL), Coastal Georgia came out of the first day in the lead with a 1-under par 287. Joining Coastal Georgia in the top five is Warner (FL) (289), Thomas (GA) (293), USC-Beaufort (SC) (296) and Eckerd (298) at the par-72 course. Thomas’ Stone Cowie leads all players after shooting a 4-under par 68.

Play is scheduled to continue today. Time of start remains a mystery. We'll list in CM Events, when and if the time is learned. - CM
