LW Women's Golf finishes in third place at Blue Raider Classic Shayna Cockrill earned all-tournament team honors after her fifth-place finish By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished with a two-day total 667 (329-338) to place third in the Blue Raider Classic at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson, 275 Country Club Road, Columbia, KY on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Shayna Cockrill led the way for the Blue Raiders after finishing the classic with a 165 (81-84) in a tie for fifth place. Cockrill was named to the all-tournament team for her finish. Cristina Jimenez and Kayla Cordeiro finished tied for eighth after both recorded a 167 at the tournament. Cordeiro fired a 12-over par 83 in the second round, the low score of the day for Lindsey Wilson. Courtney Swindle shot a 172 (87-85) to finish tied for 12th place while Flore De Faverirecorded a 175 (83-92) to tie for 17th. Amy Brown and Megan Kriz competed as individuals in the tournament. Brown shot a 168 (83-85) to finish tied in 10th place while Kriz finished with a 174 (90-84) in 16th place. Union (Barbourville, KY) took home the team tournament title after posting a 652 (329-323), followed by runner up Tennessee Wesleyan (Athens, TN), who finished with a 658 (329-329). Midway (Midway, KY) finished fourth with a score of 709 (349-360) while St. Catharine (St. Catharine, KY) took fifth with a 782 (390-392) mark.
