Wright Implement's bid of $34,996, was unanimously accepted by the court on a motion by Joe Rogers (6) with a second by Sammy Baker (3). The machine was paid for by a grant, which was written by Adair County Solid Waste Coordinator A.L. Sinclair, who was given a round of applause. Mr. Sinclair quipped that the roadside cleans are getting harder, but it said, "The restaurants are doing well," alluding to the wrappers, boxes, and cups and sacks strewn along the roads after carryouts are consumed.
