President, Adair Heritage Associaiton

The Annual Meeting of the Adair Heritage Associaiton will be at 6pmCT, Thursday, September 11, 2014, at the Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

We'll meet at the courthouse so everyone can see the new floor, new restroom with original brick wall showing and the area now rented.

At this time we'll need to elect officers and Board members and decide about Treats on the Town, Christmas in Columbia and sort and count our T-shirts, etc. to order more. Also Marsha Reddick has decided to not have the Prim Fair this year.

Mike and Renea Watson have notified us that they will be unable to attend the meeting, but he has great news. The 3rd Annual Book Fair is scheduled for Down Town Days, Satuday, October 11, 2014, in the Historic Courthouse. Mike wrote us, "Invitations have been extended and several have confirmed, in one form or another, their attendance. It may be a packed house!." Let's hope so.

He's also let us know that Jim Garner's new Courthouse booklet will go to the printer this week with an initial run of 50 copies. - Ellen Zornes
