Ruth Ann Bottom, Russell County, KY (1932-2014)

She was a native of Walton, KY, and a resident of Russell Springs, KY, at the time of her death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Russell Springs First Baptist Church. Shewas the daughter of the late James Daniel and Alma Ray Grider Isbell. Her husband, James G. Bottom, survives. She leave 14 direct living descendants.

Ruth Ann Bottom, 82, of Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Ruth Ann Bottom will be 1pmCT, Monday, September 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 392 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT, Sunday, February 7, 2014, at the church. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special Music by the Church Choir. Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers: Brian Bottom, Mark Rose, Adam Crump, Timothy Crump, Daniel Crump, and Brice Anderson.

Ruth Ann Bottom, Russell County, KY (1932-2014)

She was born Saturday, January 9, 1932 in Walton, KY. She was the daughter of the late James Daniel and Alma Ray Grider Isbell. She died Thursday, September 4, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky, at the age 82 years, seven months, and 26 months.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Jean Bottom; two brothers, James Daniel Isbell, and David Isbell.

Her husband James G. Bottom, Russell Springs, KY, survives. Other survivors include the following:
  • Four children: James Wesley (Debbie) Bottom, Russell Springs, KY; Elizabeth Ann (Denver) Rose, Eubank, KY; Kathryn Lee (Dennis) Crump, Smith Grove, KY; and Brenda Ballard (Johnnie) Hines, Hustonville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Sister: Alma Louise Krueger, Montrose, CO

  • Brother: Daniel Luther (Karen) Isbell, Russell Springs, KY
