Mrs. Christine Gupton Tucker, Green Co., KY (1922-2014)

She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of LaRue County at the time of her death. She was he daughter of the late Mr. Steward David Gupton and Mrs. Effie Gertrude Tucker Gupton. She was the widow of Mr. Thomas Smith Tucker, her husband of over 56 years. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of the Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove Mrs. Christine Gupton Tucker, 91, departed this life on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Christine Gupton Tucker will be conducted at 11amCT, Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Mrs. Christine Gupton Tucker, Green Co., KY (1922-2014)


Mrs. Christine Gupton Tucker was the daughter of the late Mr. Steward David Gupton and Mrs. Effie Gertrude Tucker Gupton. She was born November 30, 1922 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY. She was 91 years, eight months, and 26 days of age.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove.

She united in marriage to Mr. Thomas Smith Tucker on October 19, 1940, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Danny Finn of Elizabethtown, KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Tommy and Glenda Tucker of Paducah, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Lee Stuart Tucker and his wife Sheri of Paducah, KY; Ty Howard Tucker and his wife Amanda of Sikeston, MO; Melanie Danielle Moore of Elizabethtown, KY; and Ryan Owen Finn and his wife Joleen of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Matthew Finn, Jacob Finn, both of Elizabethtown, KY; Brady Tucker, Brandt Tucker, both of Paducah, KY; and Emma Tucker of Sikeston, MO

  • Five step-great-grandchildren: Darren Cruse and Christian Cruze, both of Elizabethtown, KY; and Nicholas, Abby, and Isaac Vaught all of Sikeston, MO

  • A sister-in-law: Tara Gupton of Greensburg, KY
