Bobby Shofner, Taylor County, KY (1949-2014)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after twenty-five years of service. His love for horses began as a child and his favorite pastime was trailriding. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of he late Oscar W. Shofner and Alma Sidebottom Shofner. His wife of over 45 years, Linda Shipp Shofner, survives

Bobby Shofner, 65, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 12:07pmET, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, August 22, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home , 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Jamie Bennett and Bro. Jody Graham. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Bobby Shofner, Taylor County, KY (1949-2014)

Bobby Shofner of Campbellsville, KY was the son of the late Oscar W. Shofner and Alma Sidebottom Shofner. He was born Friday, January 12, 1949, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, in Cambpellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 65 years, seven months, and seven days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after twenty-five years of service.

His love for horses began as a child and his favorite pastime was trailriding.

He united in marriage to Linda Shipp December 20, 1968.

Besides his wife, Linda Shofner of Campbellsville, KY he is survived by the following:
  • One brother and one sister: Larry Shofner and wife, Glenna; and Aletta Johns of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two nieces and four nephews: Brandi Graham and husband, Jody; Samantha Shipp, Scott Shipp and wife, Andrea all of Campbellsville, KY; Adam Johns and Eric Johns of Lexington, KY; and Adam Shipp of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two great-nieces and five great-nephews: Dayne Graham, Addison Shipp, Sully Graham, Mason Shipp, Skyler Shipp, Kade Shipp and Cameron Shipp

  • And many other relatives and friends.

  • He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Sullivan July 24, 2013 and a nephew, Ryan Shipp June 12, 2008. Expressions of sympathy should be donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky or Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
