He was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after twenty-five years of service. His love for horses began as a child and his favorite pastime was trailriding. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of he late Oscar W. Shofner and Alma Sidebottom Shofner. He was born Friday, January 12, 1949, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, in Cambpellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 65 years, seven months, and seven days. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after twenty-five years of service. His love for horses began as a child and his favorite pastime was trailriding. He united in marriage to Linda Shipp December 20, 1968.
