CU names Jason England director of Big Maroon Club New director set fundraising record on August 7, 2014, with a record $36,000 raised at the 10th Annual More Than A Game Booster Auction/Dinner. As a former athlete, Jason (England) knows firsthand the opportunities our student-athletes have to compete at this level. His passion for this university is evident in each of the roles he has held - BENJI KELLY, CU Vice President for Development Click on headline, photo(s) By Chris Megginson CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Jason England has been promoted to director for the Big Maroon Club, Vice President for Development Benji Kelly announced. England, who served as assistant director of the Big Maroon Club in 2013-14, took over the lead of the university's athletic fundraising in August of this year. He replaces Dr. G. Ted Taylor, who will now work with the university's church outreach teams. "We are excited about Jason moving into the role as director of the Big Maroon Club," Kelly said. "As a former athlete, Jason knows firsthand the opportunities our student-athletes have to compete at this level. His passion for this university is evident in each of the roles he has held." England joined CU Office of Development in 2011 England joined the Campbellsville University Office of Development in 2011 as the assistant director for alumni relations. In 2013 he transitioned into the role of assistant director of the Big Maroon Club, where he helped expand CU's total number of corporate sponsors, helped recruit new members to the booster club, and organized the More Than A Game Tiger Bowl for middle school football prior to moving into his new role. His first task as the director of the Big Maroon Club was the 10th annual Athletic Boosters Auction, now known as the More Than A Game Booster Auction/Dinner. England launched an online entity for the auction. The event on August 7, 2014, raised a record $36,000 for CU's sports teams. England made immediate impact on the Big Maroon Club "Jason has made an immediate impact on the Big Maroon Club as the new director. He loves this university and our athletics program," Rusty Hollingsworth, CU director of athletics, said. "He has already proven he can help take us to a new level in corporate support and fundraising. I look forward to working beside Jason as we seek financial support for new facilities and programs at CU." Executive Director of Audience 1 sports, associate pastor at Saloma Baptist In addition to his work at Campbellsville University, England is executive director of Audience 1 Sports, Inc., a faith-based organization in Campbellsville, which provides fundamentals of sports with the foundations of Jesus as Savior. He also serves as associate pastor of student ministry at Saloma Baptist Church. He also spent 10 years coaching high school soccer. A 2000 graduate of Taylor County High School During his time as a student at CU, he was a member of the men's tennis team and also served two seasons as an assistant women's soccer coach under former head coach Abbie Parrish. He is a 2000 graduate of Taylor County High School and graduated from CU in 2004 with B.S. in sports ministry. He was one of the first four-year graduates of the sports ministry program. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration with a marketing concentration. England and his wife, Emily, reside in Campbellsville with their daughters Haley and Kenzi.
