Mattie Kathleen Helm Clements White, age 78, of Campbellsville, KY, died Monday, August 18, 2014, in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 4pmCT/5pmET Wednesday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mattie Kathleen Helm Clements White was born Monday, July 13, 1936 at Merrimac, Taylor County, KY to Troy and Anner Lou Bottoms Helm. She died Monday, August 18, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 78 years, one month, and five days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sisters: Helen Gribbins Clements of Campbellsville, KY; and Wanda Benningfield of Louisville, KY

  • Three brothers: Walter Helm of Campbellsville, KY; Kenny Helm Bandy of Louisville, KY; and Darryl Tedder of South Carolina

  • An aunt: Lilly Graves of Indiana

  • Two close friends: Charleen Shofner and Muriel Green

  • A special niece, Maureen Seaborne.
She had no children, but helped raise her nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husbands, Udell Clements and James B. White; three sisters, Rosie Helm Gribbins, Bonnie Helm Hancock and Ethel Helm Graham.
