She was also co-owner of McAfee's Grocery. She was the daughter of the late Lee S. Skaggs and the late Rosie Ella Judd Skaggs, and the widow of Pauley Poindexter McAfee. She leaves 18 direct living descendants and five step descendants. She was 102 years, three months, and 16 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher over 45 years of the same class. She was also co-owner of McAfee's Grocery. She united in marriage to Pauley Poindexter McAfee who preceded her in death on January 12, 1994. Survivors include the following:
