LW Football ranked No. 18 in NAIA Coaches' Preseason Poll Blue Raiders received 123 total voting points for high national ranking By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College football team is ranked No. 18 in the 2014 NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, the national office announced on Monday, August 11, 2014. The Blue Raiders received 123 total voting points from the panel of national raters. Lindsey Wilson also earned the No. 18 ranking in the 2014 spring edition of the coaches' poll. The Blue Raiders are coming off an 8-3 record in 2013 finishing the year in third place in the Mid-South Conference East Division. The eight wins are the most in program history. Lindsey Wilson is projected to finish third in the MSC East Division in 2014. The Blue Raiders are joined in the poll by fellow Mid-South Conference members Cumberlands (KY), Faulkner (AL) Georgetown (KY) and Cumberland (TN). Cumberlands is No. 4 with 306 total voting points after finishing as the national runner-up in 2013. Faulkner sits at No. 10 with 225 total points followed by Georgetown with at No. 12 with 205 points. Cumberland takes the final spot in the poll at No. 25 with 27 points. Reinhardt (GA) sits just outside the poll after receiving 13 voting points. Defending national champion Grand View (Iowa) sits atop the poll with 340 points and all 15 first-place votes. Carroll (MT) is No. 2 with 322 points followed by Morningside (Iowa) at No. 3 with 308 points.
