Georgetown picked second, St. Catharine third, Campbellsville University picked number 4 Click on headline for complete article By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team is picked to win the Mid-South Conference in 2014, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches’ Poll released on Monday. The Blue Raiders received 47 total points from the conference coaches and five of the eight first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 36-6 record in 2013, including a perfect 18-0 mark in conference play. The Blue Raiders captured the MSC regular-season title and made their second-straight trip to pool play at the NAIA National Championship last season. Georgetown (KY) follows closely behind in the poll with 45 total voting points and the three remaining first-place votes. The Tigers defeated Lindsey Wilson in the finals of the MSC tournament last season and advanced to the knockout stage of the national tournament. St. Catharine (KY) is third with 34 total points followed by Campbellsville (KY) in fourth with 33 points. Cumberlands (KY) is fifth with 23 points followed by Shawnee State (Ohio) with 21.
