She was the daughter of the late Albert and Martha Compton Sneed. She was a homemaker and the widow of Marshall Simmons. She will be laid to rest at Missionary Mound Cemetery, South of Edmonton, KY, in Metcalfe County, KY

Mary Sneed Simmons age 79 of Burbank, Illinois, formerly of Columbia, Kentucky in Adair County, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 in Illinois.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, August 13, 2014, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Albert and Martha Compton Sneed. She was a homemaker and wife of the late Marshall Simmons.

She was the loving mother of Paula (Michael) Krupinski and Melissa (Lou) Rizzo all of Illinois; devoted grandmother of Michael Krupinski Jr.; dearest great grandmother of William; fond sister of Ural Sneed of Columbia; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
