Alta Etta Grider, 93, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY

Funeral service for Alta Etta Grider will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Robert Knight officiating. Friends may call after 10amCT, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial in the Millerfield Cemetery, Highway 76, Adair County, KY.



Alta Etta Grider, 93, Adair Co., KY (1921-2014)

She was born Saturday, January 15, 1921 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jake & Susie Campbell Stargel. She died Saturday, August 9, 2014, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 93 years, six months, and 25 days.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded inn death by by husband, Joe Grider and three sons, Howard Grider, Joseph Wayne Grider, and Charlie Grider.

Survivors include the follow:
  • Two children: Ralph (Glenda) Grider, Columbia, KY; and Priscilla Kay McGowan, Columbia, KY

  • Host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren
