Bula Nadine Johnson, Elkhorn, KY (1935-2014)

She was a housewife and a devoted mother. She was a member of the Assembly of God and a former Sunday School teacher. She loved the Lord and enjoyed being active in Church. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and died in Casey County. She was the daughter of the late Ike & Besie Hardwick Burton and the widow of Vitus Johnson. She leaves 16 direct living descendants.

Bula Nadine Johnson, age 79, of Elkhorn, KY, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Ray Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9AM until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.



Bula Nadine Johnson, Elkhorn, KY (1935-2014)


Born Thuesday, February 19, 1935, in Casey Co., KY; she was a daughter of the late Ike and Bessie Hardwick Burton. She died Friday, August 8, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 79 years, five months, and 17 days.

She was a housewife and a devoted mother. She was a member of the Assembly of God and a former Sunday School teacher. She loved the Lord and enjoyed being active in Church.

Survivors include :
  • Her sons: Michael Ray Johnson and Mitchell Ike Johnson, both of Liberty, KY; and Douglas Glen (wife, April) Johnson of Franklin, IN

  • Sisters: Linda Hogue of Liberty, KY; and Lola Allen of Franklin, IN

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vitis Johnson; her parents; brothers, Elmer and Cleo Burton; sisters, Imogene Johnson and Marie Johnson; and a great grandchild.
