Garland A. Davis, Casey County, KY (1937-2014)

He was retired from Jackson Furniture and a member of the Labascus Church of Christ. He was a naative of Casey County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He is survived by his dear wife of 47 years, Angie Stephens Davis. He leaves Six direct living descendants.

Garland A. Davis, of Chestnut Level Road in Casey County, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, August 11, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Steve Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the funeral home.


Garland A. Davis, Casey County, KY (1937-2014)


Born Sunday, July 18, 1937, in Casey Co., KY, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary Liz Richardson Davis. He died Friday, August 8, 2014, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 23 days.

Garland was retired from Jackson Furniture and a member of the Labascus Church of Christ.

Survivors include his dear wife, Angie Stephens Davis, whom he wed on April 8, 1967 and the following:
  • His son: Steve (Sarah) Davis of Liberty, KY

  • His daughter: Carol Buis of Liberty, KY

  • His sister: Nancy Snow of Liberty, KY

  • His three grandchildren: Kamryn Davis, Kara Davis, and Kayla Simms
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Hershel Davis and Jack Garnett Lawhorn.
