Columbia Police arrest 5 more in ongoing illegal drug crackdown

Columbia Police Department arrested 5 more individuals for the illegal sale or distribution of controlled substances. This brings the total number of arrests to 23. These arrests have came from lengthy investigation that were initiated by the CPD in the early spring. The arrest has led to multiple forfeitures of assets believed to have been purchased with the profits from the illegal sale of narcotics.

Arrested were the following:


  • Kenyatta Duncan age 39 of Adair County - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree.
  • Margie Handy age 34 of Adair County - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree.
  • Timothy Jones age 23 of Adair County - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree.
  • Shaniqua Woolridge age 23 of Adair County - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree. One count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree.
  • Robbie L Burton age 44 of Adair County - 2 Counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree.
All individuals were arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.

These investigation to date have for offenses including the sale, distribution, or the manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Prescription Medication, and Marijuana.
