Frances Salyers warns of scam

By Frances Salyers

Today I received a call from a man. He told me a truck was on the way to turn off my electricity because I had not paid my bill. He said he was from Rural Electric. I said we have Electric with Taylor County. He said well we are a co op of them, it's all the same, but if I would pay him he would stop the truck.

I said I would call my electric company and see what was going on. He said well tell that to the truck when he gets there. I said I will. but he is very agressive. I called the Sheriff's department. and Taylor County Recc. But he even called me back this time using Taylor County Electric. My concern is the older people they may convince. - Frances Salyers
