He was the son of Joseph Eugene and Linda Jean Bell Poindexter, who survive. He leaves four children and several grandchildren and great grandchildren

Mr. Larry Randell Poindexter, age 61, of Clarksville, Indiana, formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 11amCT, on Monday, July 28, 2014 until the funeral hour at 1pmCT.

He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Monday, March 9, 1953, the son of Joseph Eugene and Alma Davis Poindexter. He died Friday, July 25, 2014, in Jeffersonville, Clark County, IN, at the age of 61 years, four months, and 16 days.

He was a sheet metal worker for Manitowoc in Sellersburg, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jean Bell Poindexter and his son, Larry Poindexter.

He is survived by the following:
  • His father and mother, Joseph Eugene and Alma Davis Poindexter of Fairdale, Kentucky

  • His sons and daughter-in-law: Mark Poindexter of Fairdale, Kentucky and Jerry and Tina Poindexter of Clarkson, Kentucky

  • His daughters: Alley Poindexter of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Brandy Junker of Jeffersonville, Indiana

  • His sister, Phyllis Gossett of Fairdale, Kentucky

  • His brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenny and Kim Poindexter of Louisville, Kentucky and Keaven and Sheryl Poindexter of Fairdale, Kentucky

  • And several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
