Martha Bowles Tudor, age 81, of Summer Shade, died July 16, 2014, at T. J. Samson Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2pmCT, , at the Summer Shade Baptist Church, with Brother Chad Harston officiating, burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, July 18, at 12pm noon CT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, and continue Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 9amCT until time of services at the Summer Shade Baptist Church.

Martha Bowles Tudor, 81, Summer Shade, KY (1933-2014)

She was born Friday, March 10, 1933, in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Joe Troy and Maude Taylor Bowles. She died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 81 years, four months, and 6 days.

She was the wife of the late Joe Tudor.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Summer Shade Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • One daughter: Tamara Blaydes (Gary), Center, KY

  • Two sons: Tony Tudor (Nancie), Tompkinsville, KY; and Tim Tudor, Summer Shade, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Daniel Tudor, Kelly Oliver, Joseph Corey Tudor, Haley Martin, Hannah Shaw, and Hilary Harmon

  • Three great grandchildren: Hunter and Kenton Oliver, and Caleigh Harmon

  • One brother: Sherman Bowles, Glasgow, KY
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth (Red) Bowles, Joe Bowles, Harrison Bowles, and Tom Bowles.

Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Fire Dept., Summer Shade Cemetery, or the charity of your choice.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
