She was a member of the Burkesville Church of the Nazarene, and a farmer. She was a native of Cumberland County and a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Harrison Anderson and Sally White Claywell Anderson, and the widow of Warren Carter.

Vicie Lee Carter age 92 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Cumberland County Hospital.

Funeral service will be Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Don Davis officiating. Burial in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family requests visitation on Saturday, July 19, 2014, 4pm-9pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

Vicie Lee Carter, 92, Cumberland County, KY (1922-2014)

Vicie was born on March 01, 1922 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daugter of the late Johnny Harrison Anderson and Sally White Claywell Anderson. She died Thursday, July 17 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 16 days.

She was a member of the Burkesville Church of the Nazarene, and a farmer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Carter on March 06, 2013; three brothers, Roy Anderson, Johnny Anderson, and Willard Anderson; and four sisters, Clara Claywell, Lois Smith, Mary Claywell, and Faye Anderson. Survivors include the following:
  • Two sisters: Betty Carter and her husband Lonnie; and Helen Norris and her husband Hyland all of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: William Anderson and his wife Mary Lee of Burkesville, KY

  • Sister-in-law: JoAnn Anderson of Shepherdsville, KY

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
