Thomas Arms age 91 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Cumberland Valley Manor, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral service will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial in Dutch Creek Cemetery. The family requests visitation after 12pm noon CT, on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Thomas Arms, Cumberland County, KY (1922-2014)


Thomas Arms was born on Saturday, July 22, 1922 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Johnny Arms and Hattie Jones Arms. He died July 10, 2014, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Cleophas Vibbert Arms; three children, Debbie Lee Arms, Michael Ray Arms, and Edwin Odell Arms; one granddaughter, Jennifer Arms; two brothers, James Arms, and William Arms; and two sisters, Minnie Hulse, and Ruth Ferguson.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Timothy Starr Arms and his wife Carmen of Burkesville, KY and Jerry Arms and his wife Karen of Memphis Junction, Indiana

  • One sister: Jewell Scott of Anderson, Indiana

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Twenty great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
