Farmers Market on the Square - Know Before You Go July 5, 2014

The Farmer's Market on the Square is open every Saturday from 8am-1pmCT, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY

It looks like the best selection of farm fresh produce is here today at the Farmers Market on the Square, and the weather man is promising an almost perfect day. Here's who will be here and what they have, as we know it at 6:16amCT, Saturday morning:

FRESH FROM THE FARM

  1. Caitlin Helm of Lonely Acre Farm 270-378-0576 - Tomatoes, Fresh cut Oregano and Spearmint, Sourdough bread, Honey Wheat bread, Cranberry Carrot Cake, Lemon bread, Orange juice bread, Blueberry muffins, Blueberry cream cheese pound cake, and several surprises fresh from the oven.
  2. Barbara Armitage of Tucker’s Station Farms, 270-250-2979 - NEW this week Sweet Onion Bread. Fresh baked artisan Breads. Homemade Blackberry Jams and Salsa’s. Sweet red and yellow Onions. English (Burpless) Cucumbers, sweet Banana Peppers, Jalapeno Peppers, Cold Hardy Banana Trees, Giant Elephant ears. We are always sampling!   3. Danny and Debbie Burris of D&D Longview Angus 270-250-3701 - Blackberries, Blueberries. Red and Green Tomatoes. Okra, Cucumbers, Potatoes, Yellow Squash, A few Top Crop Green Beans, and a few Roma 2 green beans. Green Peppers and Banana Peppers. Green Onions, and assorted plants.
  4. Darrell Bunnell of Coview Farm 270-384-5412 - NEW this weekend Kohlrabi, Yellow Beans and Green Beans! Cabbage, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Yellow squash, Zucchini, Cucumbers
  5. Lisa and Jason Blackaby of Blackaby Hill Farm 270-535-5396 Offering pasture raised whole and cut up chicken as well as eggs. Custom designed burlap reusable shopping bags are available.
  6. Mark Meyer of M&W Milling 270-384-2487 - Locally raised Beef, Pork and Lamb.
  7. Terry Huff of Heavenly Homestead Cheese 270-250-2979 - Jack is back! Hand crafted whole milk natural cheeses. Sampling Pepper Jack, Tomato Basil and Smokehouse Cheddar.
