Edith Underwood, Taylor County, KY (1925-2014)

She was born in Taylor County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Willie G. Skaggs and Jenny Mae Drun Skaggs. She was the widow of Syndal Underwood, her husband of over 52 years. She leaves three direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church.

Edith Underwood, 89, of Campbellsville, KY. died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Jeff Newton and Bro. Michael Ticknor. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Billy Milby, Bob Milby, Russell Skaggs, Danny Underwood, Paul Underwood, Jr.; Ruger Underwood, and Jimmy Webster.

Edith Underwood, Taylor County, KY (1925-2014)

Edith Underwood of Campbellsville was the daughter of the late Willie G. Skaggs and Jenny Mae Druin Skaggs. She was born Friday, May 29, 1925 in Taylor County, Kentucky.She died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 30 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Syndal Underwood February 1955. He preceded her in death July 24, 2007.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: Mickey and Marcia Underwood and Mark and Melinda Underwood of Campbellsville, KY

  • One grandson: Ruger Underwood of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Aileen Skaggs of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers James W. Skaggs June 1, 1989 and Calvin R. Skaggs August 7, 1992.
