2014 Adair Co. Fair: Open Dairy Cattle Show

CM Coverage: 2014 Adair Co. Fair Schedule of Events


Monday, July 7 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time at the Cattle Barns.

Classes:
  • Jersey
  • Holstein
  • Friesian
  • Brown Swiss
  • Guernsey
  • Ayrshire

Prizes:
  • 1st Place - $25.00
  • 2nd Place - $15.00
  • 3rd Place - $10.00
  • 4th Place - $5.00


Rules and Regulations
  1. Ages of all entries to be determined by registration certification.
  2. Entries for all classes must be made prior to start time.
  3. All animals entered must be on grounds at stated time of shows' beginning.
  4. All group entries must be on grounds at stated time of show's beginning.
  5. No charge will be made for stalls or tie spaces.
  6. See health requirements in front section of 2014 catalog.
  7. Open classes are open to all exhibitors unless otherwise specified.
  8. Adair County Fair Board not responsible for accident or theft.
  9. Checks will be handed out at the end of the show.


  1. Junior Calf - Born Mar. 1, 2014 - Apr. 30, 2014
  2. Intermediate Calf - Born Dec. 1, 2012 - Feb. 28, 2014
  3. Senior Calf - Born Sept. 1, 2013 - Nov. 30, 2013
  4. Summer Yearling - Born June 1, 2013 - Aug. 31, 2013
  5. Junior Yearling - Born March 1, 2013 - May 31, 2013
  6. Intermediate Yearling - Born Dec. 1, 2012 - Feb. 28, 2013
  7. Senior Yearling - Born Sept. 1, 2012 - Nov. 30, 2012
  8. Junior Champion Female - Rosette
  9. Reserve Jr. Female - Rosette
  10. Cow - Two-years-old - Born Sept. 1, 2011 - Aug. 31, 2012
  11. Cow - Three-years-old - Born Sept. 1, 2010 - Aug. 31, 2011
  12. Cow - Four-years-old - Born Sept. 1, 2009 - Aug 31, 2010
  13. Supreme Cow - $200.00
  14. Aged Cows - Born after September 1, 2010
  15. Milk Production Cow 2 yr. old
  16. Milk Production Cow 3 yr. old
  17. Milk Production Cow 4 yr. old
  18. Milk Production - Aged Cow
  19. Sr. Female Champion - Rosette
  20. Reserved Champion - Rosette
  21. Breeder's Herd - Five (5) animals, two (2) already calved, two (2) heifers not in milk and one (1) any age. Must be owned by exhibitor with at least three (3) breed by exhibitor. $60.00 $40.00 $20.00 $10.00
