FM2 for June 7, 2014: Know Before You Go

The Farmer's Market on the Square is open every Saturday from 8am-1pmCT, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY

It's going to be a glorious day for the Farmer's Market, whether you come and stay all day like a day at the fair, or just stop by when passing through town on your way to stores, restaurants, yard sales, or out just enjoying a drive. Special Guests: The Adair County Library will be handing out information about the Summer Reading Program Schedule. Miss Aleina will also be reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle and kids will be able to pick up a Hungry Caterpillar coloring sheet. and the Columbia Adair Community Garden wants everyone to meet Candice Armstrong, Community Outreach Coordinator with Lindsey Wilson College will be on hand to answer your questions about how you can be a part of the Columbia Adair Community Garden.

Here are some of the vendors you'll find at this week's Farmer's Market on the Square, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, as of 5:46amCT, Saturday, June 7, 2014:
  • Donna Jones of Big Black Dog Farm 270-634-2125 - Kentucky Honey, Baby Quilts and Blankets. Bird house gourds - make your own Martin House.
  • Darrell Bunnell of Coview Farm 270-384-5412- SALE! Bedding Plants for your Vegetable and Flower garden50% off. For your garden tomato, peppers, eggplant, cantaloupe, watermelon. Sweet potato slips are in. Annuals and herbs still available, petunias, marigolds, zinnia's and more. For your table radishes, green onions and broccoli.

  • Terry Huff of Heavenly Homestead Cheese 270-250-2979- Hand crafted whole milk natural cheeses. Sample our newest cheeses, Smoked Gouda and a delicious new cheese that we hope you will help us name.

FM2: First Ripe Tomato of the Season
