Louise Pedigo Jeffries, Metcalfe County, KY (d. May 31, 2014)

She was retired from the US Corps of Engineers after 30 years plus service. She was a loving wife and mother and was adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a native of Edmonton, KY, and a resident of Greenville, TN, at the time of her death. With her passing, a generation of the family of Merida and Mary Molly Haire Pedigo is gone, a great Metcalfe County family which included, also, Willis Pedigo, Mary Hill, Aline "Sally" Laplanca, Eva Harper, Lorene Bush, Cleon Higgason, Martha Coleman and William Robert Pedigo. Her husband, Richard Paul Jeffries, suvives. She leaves 9 direct living descendants.

Louise Pedigo Jeffries age 97 of Greeneville, TN formerly of Louisville passed away Sunday, May 31, 2014 in Greeneville.

Funeral services will be held 7pmCT, Tuesday, June 3rd at Butler Funeral Home 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be from 4pmCT, until service time Tuesday. Graveside services will be held on 11amCT, Wednesday, June 4, 2017 at the Wilson-Pedigo Cemetery at Edmonton, KY.



She was born in Edmonton, Kentucky, She was the daughter of the late Merida and Mary Mollie Haire Pedigo.

She retired from US Corps of Engineers after 30 years plus of service. She was a loving wife and mother.

She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Richard Paul Jeffries and the following:
  • One son and daughter in law: Mike and Angela Stine of Greeneville, TN

  • Four grandchildren; Jason Stine, Janna Miller, Mollie Stine and Brycen Nye

  • Four great grandchildren; Charlie Miller, Allie Miller, Brennan Stine and Liam Kepic

  • Daughter in law: Carrie Stine Boszak, and many nieces and nephews
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Allen Stine; and brothers and sisters, Willis Pedigo, Mary Hill, Aline "Sally" Laplanca, Eva Harper, Lorene Bush, Cleon Higgason, Martha Coleman and William Robert Pedigo.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
