She leaves 7 Direct living descendants.She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a former machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. a homemaker, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Edna Lee Crump Scott, 92, of Green County, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill.

The funeral services for Edna Lee Crump Scott were conducted at 1pmCT, Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Kelvin Edwards will be officiating. Burial is in in the Aetna Grove Cemetery



Pallbearers: Chase Coffey, Lucas Wethington, Scott Coffey, Brett Marr, Mike Akin, and Mike Goff.

Edna Lee Crump Scott, Green County, KY (1922-2014)

Edna Lee Crump Scott of Green County, Kentucky, was the daughter of the late Claude Crump and Lizzie Hedgespeth Crump. She was born on March 19, 1922 in Hart County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 92 years, two months, and nine days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a former machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. a homemaker, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She united in marriage to Shire Franklin Scott on August 24, 1940 who preceded her in death on May 27, 1987.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Shirnell and Ricky Marr of Summersville, KY

  • Grandchildren: Scott and Missy Coffey, Brett Marr, Lucas Wethington, and Leah Wethington

  • A great-grandson: Chase Coffey

  • Sisters: Hershel Miller of Louisville, KY; Virginia Goff of Summersville, KY; Alviene Hines, and Dixie Brooks both of Buffalo, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Ruby Crump of Magnolia, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by a daughter: JoAnn Wethington; two sisters and a brother: Magdeline Wright, Dorothy Duffy, and Marvin Crump.

Memorials are suggested to the "Paxton Strong Fund", which can be made at the funeral home.
