Anna J. Estes Perkins, 66, of Hodgenville, Kentucky, formerly of Mt. Sherman, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her daughter's home in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral services Anna J. Estes Perkins will be conducted at 12pm noon CT, , Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Hodges Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Guy Whitlow will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 8pmCT, Sunday, May 25, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service.

Anna J. Estes Perkins of Hodgenville, Kentucky, formerly of Mt. Sherman, Kentucky, was the daughter of the late Houston Estes and Mattie Wright Estes. She was born October 1, 1947 in Barren County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her daughter's home in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY. She was 66 years, 7 months, and 22 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Dezarn Chapel and was a homemaker.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Robert Perkins of Magnolia, KY; and James and Jessica Perkins of Hodgenville, KY

  • Two daughters: Cleta Perkins of Glendale, KY; and Janie Perkins of Hodgenville, KY

  • Two brothers: Virgil "Junior" Estes of Campbellsville, KY; and James Philpot of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Two great-grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Ms. Perkins was also preceded in death by two daughters: Diane Estes and Joyce Cruse; and a sister: Leona Philpot.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
