LWC Women's Tennis begins Nationals play May 14, 2014 Blue Raiders, No. 3 seed received an opening round bye By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team begins play at 9amCT, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the 34th Annual NAIA National Championship at the Mobile Tennis Center 851 Gaillard Drive, Mobile, AL. LWC Women's Tennis at NAIA National Championships on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 9 a.m. CT at the Mobile Tennis Center, Mobile, AL. The Blue Raiders (15-4) are the No. 3 seed in the 24 team single-elimination tournament. Lindsey Wilson is one of eight teams to receive an opening round bye and await the winner of the Cardinal Stritch (WI) and Milligan (TN) match on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Lindsey Wilson earned an automatic bid into the national tournament after capturing the Mid-South Conference regular season and conference tournament title. The Blue Raiders shut out MSC competition on the year by a score of 79-0 in 11 total matches. Lindsey Wilson has won their last 12 matches dating back to March 30 by a score of 84-0 and are undefeated against NAIA competition this season. Alejandra Galvis, Sarah Bernos, Alicia Rodriguez and Jessica King earned First Team All-MSC selections this year while Anna Gaprindashvili and Ana Helena Pinto were named Second Team All-MSC members. Four Blue Raiders are ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Rankings.
