ACSO arrests 2 men for wanton endangerment, other offenses

One individual arrested for wanton endangerment and other offenses after he allegedly fired rounds from a weapon near a crowd at Snake Creek Road Ramp on Green River Lake; second arrested on wanton endangerment after allegedly ramming vehicle of shooter and then fleeing the scene. The Adair County Sheriff's Department was assisted by officers of the Columbia Police Department

On 05-11-2014 at 2:28am Justin Bledsoe age 21 of Columbia was arrested on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Tampering with physical evidence, possesion of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of an accident.



Deputy Aaron investigated an incident that occured at Snake Creek Boat Ramp on Green River Lake at around 12:48amCT, where it was reported that Justin Bledsoe fired several rounds from a weapon near a crowd of people and fled the scene in a 2004 Nissan.

A 911 call came in to The Adair County 911 center at around 12:55amCT saying that the Bledsoe vehicle had been struck by a 1995 Jeep being operated by Dakota Biggerstaff, also of Columbia. During the investigation it was determined that Dakota Biggerstaff was at the gathering on Snake Creek Boat Ramp and became upset that Bledsoe fired a weapon in his direction.

It was reported that Biggerstaff then followed Bledsoe onto KY 551 where he rammed the 2004 Nissan with his Jeep and then fled the scene.

Biggerstaff was located and arrested at 5:10amCT at a residence on Oak Street in Columbia, KY, and lodged in Adair County Jail on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree (2 counts), failure to maintain required insurence and leaving the scene of an accidend.
