Flossie Carey, 89, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell County, KY.

Funeral service for Flossie Carey will be 11amCT, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Charles Edwards officiating. Friends may call after 5 pmCT, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special music will be by Josh Carey.



Pallbearers: Josh Carey, Kennedy Coffey, Christian Carey, Kevin Shearer, Nick Shearer, and Billy Fulton.

She was born Thursday, May 22, 1924 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Charles Oliver & Myrtle Humble Barnett. She died Sunday,m May 11, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Royville Friendship Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Earl Carey, 5 sisters, and 1 brother.

  • Three sons: Larry (Kristy) Carey, Cynthiana, KY; Gary (Sandra K.) Carey, Williamstown, KY; Dale (Kim) Carey, Russell Springs, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren
