By Larry Smith
FM 92.7 the WAVE and FM 99.9 The Big Dawg

LONE VALLEY AREA of GREEN RIVER LAKE (2:52pmET) - The focus of the search for the missing 19 year old drowning victim. An Air Evac helicopter called in for possible rescue has been dismissed and a chaplain has been called to the scene. We have learned that the tragedy occurred following a church baptism and a picnic.

From what has been learned, a 19 year old male attempted to swim out to recover a flotation device which has drifted out into the lake and went under while trying to do so.

The victim has not been recovered from the lake and the name has not been released.

A very, very sad story is unfolding on this otherwise beautiful Mother's Day. We will bring updates as learned on 92.7 FM the WAVE and FM 99.9 The Big Dawg, and on ColumbiaMagazine.com. - LARRY SMITH, Operations manager, Shoreline Communications.- LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
