ACES 4th graders get LWC College/Career Readiness Tour

Hosted by Ms. Traci Pooler and other LWC faculty and staff. 'The ACES fourth graders and teachers can't stop talking about the experience!' Supt. Reed says.

By Alan W. Reed, Superintendent, Adair Co. Schools

I would like to thank Ms. Traci Pooler along with other faculty and staff members of Lindsey Wilson College for providing all fourth grade students at Adair County Elementary School (ACES) with a wonderful fun and learning opportunity Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2014. The ACES fourth graders and teachers can't stop talking about the experience!

The opportunity was dubbed the "Lindsey Wilson College College/Career Readiness Tour". The 4th graders had the opportunity to tour the beautiful campus of Lindsey Wilson College and learn about the variety of programs that are offered. Lindsey Wilson College also provided our students with access to actual classrooms, and allowed them to interact with LWC students and professors. Students also participated in team building activities, and enjoyed physical activities in the Health and Wellness Center.

Once again, Lindsey Wilson College provided our students with a chance to learn beyond the school ways and to help them discover community connections. An important goal of our school district is to promote goal setting and a lifetime love of learning.

All of us deeply appreciate our strong partnership with Lindsey Wilson College and value the relationship in our efforts to provide acceleration to our students and begin the College and Career Readiness interest early in life.
