Funeral services will be at Griders Chapel United Methodist Church, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Friday, May 9, 2014, with Bro. Stanley Watson and Bro. Barry Bradshaw the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Garner-Dykes Cemetery in Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, and Friday, May 8, 2014, 11am-1pmCT, at the church.

She was born June 16, 1929, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Garner and the late Cora Bell (Mann) Garner. She died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Elmer R. (Helen) Dykes and Billy (Antoinette) Dykes, both of Jamestown, KY; and Dean (Carla) Dykes, Macon, GA

  • A daughter: Jean (Glenn), Jamestown, KY

  • Two sisters: Cecil Back:Columbia, KY; and Mary Hortense Wright, of Greensburg, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangments.
