Farmers Market at 409 Fairground opens at 2pmCT TODAY!

The Farmer's Market at the Adair Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY is open this Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2014, 2013, from 3pm-6pmmCT. Gardeners and their inventories will be posted as reported to ColumbiaMagazine.com, for the second of two sessions today.

The Adair County Farmer's Market is open every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm-6pm CT, at the Adair County Extension Services parking lot, 409 Fair Ground Street, Columbia, KY.

It's time to get those bedding plants in the ground! Stop by and pick up your vegetable, fruit and flower bedding plants today:
  • Darrell Bunnell of Coview Farm 270-384-5412 - Bedding Plants for your Vegetable and Flower garden broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, peppers and tomatoes. Herb plants. Garden greens, Green Onions and Farm Fresh Eggs
  • Barbara Armitage of Tuckerís Station Farms 270-250-2979 - Blackberry plants 50% off. Blackberry and Strawberry plants. Homemade Blackberry Jams and Salsa's

This year's full schedule includes: Tuesday afternoons 2pm-6pmCT starting on May 6, 2014; Friday mornings, 6am-10amCT, starting on May 9, 2014; and Tuesday mornings 6am-10amCT starting on June 17, 2014.


Many of the vendors of the Adair County Farmer's Market accept WIC and Seniors vouchers as well as credit and debit cards. Vendors have also been certified in Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), and a certified management practice to aid in ensuring safe and wholesome foods. For more information about the Adair County Farmers Market, contact the Extension Office at 270-384-2317.
