William Wesley Wright, Green County, KY (1938-2014)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. He worked 30 plus years and was retired from Greensburg Manufacturing Company. He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Henry E. "Bossie" Wright and Dorothy Perkins Wright He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Jane Ennis Wright, having united in marriage on August 9, 1958 at the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He leaves 3 direct living descendants spanning 3 generations.

Mr. William Wesley Wright, 75, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. William Wesley Wright will be conducted at 10amCT, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Wilcoxson and Bro. Twyman Davis will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-8pmCT, Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: William Earl Milby, Mike Bagby, Robert Ennis, Mel Shuffett, Homer Simpson, Billy Simpson, Eudean Workman, and Danny Patterson.

Mr. William Wesley Wright of Greensburg, Kentucky, was the son of the late Henry E. "Bossie" Wright and Dorothy Perkins Wright. He was born on Wednesday, August 3, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, April 28, 2014 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 75 years, 8 months, and 25 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. He worked 30 plus years and was retired from Greensburg Manufacturing Company.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Jane Ennis Wright, having united in marriage on August 9, 1958 at the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Other survivors include:
  • A son: David Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • A grandson and his wife: Nick and Danielle Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • A great-granddaughter: Ava Grace Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Shirley Wright, Herbert and Betty Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Mae and William Earl Milby of Greensburg, KY; and Barbara Ann and Mike Bagby of Florida

  • A brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert and Jan Ennis, and Charlene Ennis all of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Wright was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aiden Cash Wright.

Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church or the Bennett Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
