Mr. William Edward Davidson, Burkesville, KY (1937-2014)

He was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and a farmer. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late William Bedford "Dude" and Nancy Holman Davidson. His wife of 54 years, Stella Gowin Davidson, survives. He leaves 25 direct living descendants.

Mr. William Edward Davidson, age 76, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mr. William Edward Davidson will be conducted on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10amCT. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT, on Sunday, April 27, 2014 until the funeral hour on Monday April 28, 2014.

He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday, July 11, 1937. He was the son of v. He died Friday, April 25, 2014, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 76 yeaars, 9 months, and 14 days.

He was a member of the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Davidson; his brothers, Howard Davidson, Arnold Davidson; his sisters, Bethine Carter, Roxie Simpson and Sue Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Stella Gowin Davidson of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he married on Sunday, December 20, 1959, and the following:
  • His sons and daughter-in-law: Phillip Davidson, Andy and Barbara Davidson, all of Burkesville, KY

  • His daughter and son-in-law: Vickie and Robert Albertson, all of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His brothers and sisters-in-law: Russell and Marie Davidson of Louisville, Kentucky; and Bobby and Beatrice Davidson of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His sisters and brother-in-law: Marie Brake of Indianapolis, Indiana; Mary Lee of Glasgow, Kentucky and Betty and Marshall Ferree, of New Castle, Indiana

  • His sisters-in-law: Runell Davidson of Glasgow, Kentucky; Betty Davidson of Albany, Kentucky

  • His grandchildren: P.J. Davidson, Jonathan Davidson, Rachel Davidson, Dee Albertson, Justin Albertson and Ryan Albertson

  • And sixteen great-grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "WE CARE" of Cumberland County, Kentucky.
