Mr. David Roger Wray, age 55, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3pmCT on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.



Mr. David Roger Wray, Cumberland County, KY (1959-2014)


He was born in Burkesville, Cumberland County, Kentucky on Monday, March 16, 1959, the son of Howard and Evaline Johnson Wray. He died Saturday, April 19, 2014, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 55 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

He was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and a machine operator for Rocore.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Wray and his son, Jonathan Wray.

He is survived by the following:
  • His mother: Evaline Wray of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His son: David (and Debbie) Wray of Russell Springs, Kentucky

  • His daughter: Tiffany (and Matt) Spears of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His siblings: Jackie (and Raven) Craft, Bobby (and Barbara) Wray, Judy (and Bill) Craft, Joe (and Felicia) Wray, Robert (and Amy)Wray, Rondall (and Julie) Wray and Charles (and Beverly) Wray, all of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His grandchildren: Caitlin Hatfield, Lucas Wray, Logan Pennington, Braxton Spears, Cheyann Spears and Emily Wray

  • And several nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Roger Wray Memorial Fund to help pay final expenses and may be left at or sent to Norris-New Funeral Home P. O. Box 335, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717.
